Sam Claflin revealed in a recent interview that he was attacked for no reason at a Norwich nightclub in his teens.
The actor spoke to GQ Magazine to promote his new Amazon Prime TV series Daisy Jones and the Six, which charts the rise and fall of a fictional rock band in Los Angeles in the 1970s.
He talked about moving away from "hunky roles" with grittier parts, which has also included playing fascist Oswald Mosley in Peaky Blinkers.

In the interview with GQ journalist Olivia Pym, it starts with an incident that happened when he was a teen in Norwich to demonstrate his forgiving nature.
She wrote: "Claflin was 19 years old, minding his own business on the dance floor at Po Na Na nightclub [now Be At One in Bank Plain] in Norwich.

"He still has no idea why the stranger decided to swing for him, but being agreeable to his bones, he’s still giving that guy the benefit of the doubt 17 years later."
Claflin also said in the interview that although he is from Norfolk he has "adopted an accent that no one can really put a flag on".
He was born in Ipswich but grew up in Norwich and he went to Costessey High School and City College Norwich.
He also performed in productions at the Theatre Royal as part of its prestigious arts course.
