Norwich's central square has been the beating heart of the city for many generations.

Here we take a look back at the changing face of Haymarket, off Gentleman's Walk, over the years through pictures found in our archives.

From the square's old fountain to a giant brain sculpture, it has been a focal point for many when visiting the city.

Perhaps you can spot yourself or a relative in these pictures or remember some of the much-loved businesses that have disappeared in Norwich.
