Getting away and having a holiday is a great thing to be able to do because it clears your head and helps you recharge.

And, like many other households, my husband and I have been deciding on where we can take our children this summer.

It is an unfortunate reality that prices for any holiday shoot up during school holidays and one way of working out when the holidays are is looking at the tariffs of a well known holiday complex in various woodland spots around the country.

We decided on exploring Wales because it is not an area of Britain we are very familiar with.

After looking up places on Airbnb we found a simple chalet on a small holiday park near Anglesey and on the edge of Snowdonia.

It may not be the most glamorous of accommodation but it looked like a beautiful spot and was pretty reasonably priced considering we were looking during the summer holidays.

We are not the only ones enjoying holidaying closer to home because many people are now looking at breaks in the UK since the pandemic.

One of the few silver linings of the pandemic was appreciating what Britain has to offer after going abroad was stopped and it is something that I will not forget.
