An electric bike company is hoping to take over the store of a closing furniture and gift shop.
Norfolk Electric Adventure has submitted planning permission to change the site in Taverham Garden Centre to a bike shop.
The new store will sell electric bikes from European brands Life, Victoria, Dallingbridge, MBM, Conic and Gepida.
It is also planning on offering some minor bike maintenance services for customers.
The unit is currently occupied by Country Corner, a furniture and gift shop that has been open for almost 30 years.
It will be closing at the end of March and the unit will then be taken over by Norfolk Electric Adventure.
Under the plans lodged with Broadland Council, the structure will remain the same.
Taverham Parish Council has not objected to the proposed change.
The electric bike company is owned by Mike Scott and is based in Felthorpe.
It is currently unknown when Norfolk Electric Adventure will open.
