An independent business will be filling a vacant unit in the heart of Norwich city centre that has been empty for more than three years.

Jewellery shop Fourth Avenue closed in 2019, leaving the store on the corner of London Street and Swan Lane empty.

The business then moved its operations online.

Adrian Fennell, partner at Roche Chartered Surveyors - which is marketing the property - could not confirm who will be taking over the store, but said the new business will be "good for Norwich".

"There's quite a lot of work that needs doing to the property, so we can't say when they'll be opening," he explained.

"It's not a big unit, but it's got a lovely, large frontage.

"It's in a very visible corner location and sits nicely opposite The Ivy."

The unit is arranged over three levels, offering a total area of 1,923sqft.

It was marketed as being either to let or for sale, with a rentable value of £35,000 per annum or £475,000 plus VAT for the freehold interest.
