A Norfolk man who created a stunning home inside a former chapel will star in Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr.

The hit BBC One show sees 10 interior designers from across the UK compete to win a major contract.

It is presented by comedian Alan Carr and judged by interiors guru Michelle Ogundehin, who is on the hunt for talent, passion and dazzling designs.

Jack Kinsey, 27, who lives near Hingham, is one of this year's contestants and he is hoping to follow in the footsteps of friend and last year's champion Banjo Beale.

The former Stalham High School pupil has loved interiors since he was a child and four years ago he purchased a derelict chapel which he has converted with his boyfriend Alex, featuring a spiral staircase.

Mr Kinsey said: "As a child, I would go to a restaurant with my parents and think about how it could look better with a different layout.

"We purchased the chapel four years ago and converted it in a classic style.

"It is now up for sale as I am eager to do it all over again with another project."

He also runs the Norfolk Emporium furniture shop there, which will relocate when they move.

He decided to sign-up for the show after being encouraged by his boyfriend as they watch it every year.

He added: "We all got on so well and since filming I have been darting up and down the country to visit everyone.

"Alan Carr was really good fun and we stayed up some nights and had drinks.

"I went in wanting to stick to my classic aesthetic, but when I saw what other people did I became fascinated with texture and different fabrics."
