A cuisine loved by many, here are the best places to grab a curry in Norwich, with options aplenty in our fine city.

These are the seven best restaurants in Norfolk, according to Tripadvisor as of February 22, 2023.

1. Namaste Village

Namaste Village, in Queens Road, was announced as a finalist recently for the Best Vegetarian Restaurant category at the inaugural Nation's Curry Awards.

They are known and loved for serving vegetarian and vegan food from different regions of India.

2. Namaste India 

Where: 2 Stracey Road, Norwich, NR1 1EZ 

Namaste India was the first Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in Norwich and Norfolk, opening over a decade ago.

The menu serves authentic Indian vegetarian and vegan food, ranging in price from £10 to £20.

3. Dhaba At Fifteen

Where: 15 Magdalen Street, Norwich, NR3 1LE

Indian restaurant Dhaba at Fifteen opened in 2018 and has become one of the city's top-rated eateries.

In 2019 it was named street food restaurant of the year at the English Curry Awards, which was decided by an expert judging panel who made a secret visit.

Dishes include Persian beef curry, Sri Lankan prawn curry and North Indian lamb fry.

4. Roti

Where: 19 Finkelgate, Norwich, NR1 3HF

Roti is a family-run Indian restaurant offering authentic traditional Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine.

Situated close to Norwich Cathedral, prices range from £18 to £27.

5. Spice Valley

Where: 5 Magdalen Street, Norwich, NR3 1LE

Spice Valley serves traditional Indian cuisine with a "unique twist", with their executive chefs cooking up everything from lobster to crab. 

They were shortlisted in the Restaurant of the Year Award for the East Midlands region in 2022. 

The awards recognise Britain's "most innovative and critically acclaimed" curry establishments.

6. Ali Tandoori

Where: 9-11 Magdalen Street, Norwich, NR3 1LE

Ali Tandoori offers traditional favourites, including tandoori and Balti dishes, made with only the best ingredients.

People hungry for a taste of authentic Indian food can order online for collection.

7. The Merchants of Spice II

Where: 127 Yarmouth Road, Norwich, NR7 0QY

The Merchants of Spice II launched in Yarmouth Road in Thorpe St Andrew six years ago and its sister business is based in Colegate.

Indian, Asian and Balti cuisines are on offer, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available.
