A prominent city centre unit is being primed for a new business to move in after sitting empty for more than a year.

The unit at 33-35 Castle Street, formerly an O2 store, covers more than 2,700sqft and sits on the corner of Arcade Street, behind Castle Meadow.

This comes as the area has seen significant rejuvenation over the last 12 months, with Lucy and Yak moving into the former Castle Fine Art gallery and Yalm taking over the former Jamie's Italian among the many newcomers to the Royal Arcade.

Francis Darrah, of Francis Darrah Chartered Surveyors, which is marketing the property at £75,000 per annum, said: "The landlord is stripping it out to make it more attractive to potential tenants.

"There's no-one lined up to move in just yet but we've got good interest.

"We're hoping something more exciting can go in there.

"Bordering Lucy and Yak and the Royal Arcade, it's a good spot.

"Norwich is fortunate to see new tenants coming in everywhere - people move out, people go in - and we're confident that's going to continue."
