A bar in the Golden Triangle which served handcrafted cocktails and vegan nibbles has closed.

Oliver's Bar, in Unthank Road, announced its closure on Instagram today (February 15), in a post saying: "Well, we’re off. Oliver’s Bar is now permanently closed. Many thanks to everyone who visited us, we had a lovely time and hope you did too. Cheers then xxx."

The only of its kind in the area, Oliver's Bar opened at 152a Unthank Road in the former home of The Amnesty Bookshop in December 2021, transforming the space into a cosy atmosphere for locals.

The bar was run by friends Oliver Sanham, 28, and Oliver Holdsworth, 24, and offered a range of classy cocktails and other drinks, as well as nibbles, including hummus, bread and olives.

The venue was filled with plants and mix-match furniture and hosted a weekly quiz.

It comes after the closure of Frank's Bar in Bedford Street and The York Tavern in Leicester Street closing its kitchen.
