Last time we visited south Norfolk in the 1960s to relive happy childhood memories from a delightful market town.

And today we are heading to our Fine City and looking back at growing up in Norwich in the 1970s with these old photos from our archive

You might recognise some of the shops like C&A, Hovells and Peter Robinson.

There are conkers and clackers, fountains and fairgrounds.

The Queen came to Norwich in 1975 and perhaps you stood in the crowd with your friends and family, eager to glimpse our royal visitor.

It was a time of flares and tank tops or platforms and punk garb. Bouncing on Space Hoppers and recording our favourite tunes on cassettes.

We rode our Raleigh Choppers and went to the photo kiosk at Woolies with our mates.

Norwich Evening News: The 11th Norwich Sea Scouts, with their headquarters in the Elm Hill, extended an invitation to all their neighbours for a Silver Jubilee street party. Although the cobbles were not suitable for energetic foot races they did provide the essential hazards for egg and spoon races and the necessary footholds for the tug o'-war and were certainly no problem for those tucking into the food. Top of the Pops kept us in the loop with the latest hits and we marvelled at the first Star Wars film.

The seventies was a decade with its own distinctive character.
