Norfolk has been the backdrop for some exciting new shows this year. Here is where you can see your home county on TV in 2023.

1. The Hairy Bikers Go Local

Where: BBC Two

When: January 10, 8pm

The Hairy Bikers Go Local will follow Dave Myers and Si King as they introduce top chefs to the best local producers.

In the fifth episode, the pair visit the Barsham Arms near Fakenham to meet owners Jake and Terri.

To keep people coming back to the country pub for more, the Bikers find new produce for Jake to keep the menu fresh.

2. Winterwatch

Where: BBC Two

When: Tuesday, January 17, 8pm

Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan will be back at Wild Ken Hill from mid-January for two weeks of live shows.

They will be taking a look at the latest breeding season of Norfolk’s grey seal populations as they seemingly go from strength to strength.

Wild Ken Hill is often the home for the show, hosting it in all seasons.

3. Living Wild: How to Change Your Life

Where: Channel 4

When: January 28, 9pm

The second series of Living Wild: How to Change Your Life, sees presenter Sophie Morgan meet people who have chosen to ditch their old lives for something completely new. 

The show features Norfolk boatbuilder Nick Hannington's new chapter, after returning to Norwich after a busy life in Wimbledon.

Living Wild also visits Matt Green, a pig farmer from Norfolk, who fell in love and relocated to the remote Colonsay Island, off the coast of Scotland.

4. Joe and Katherine's Bargain Holidays

Where: Channel 4

When: To be confirmed

The show sees Katherine Ryan and Joe Wilkinson pair up to find the best holidays for the cheapest prices.

Funny folk Ryan and Wilkinson were being filmed paddleboarding near to the Red Lion pub at Bishop Bridge back in August.

5. Chemistry of Death

Where: Paramount+

When: January 19

The crime series is an adaptation of critically-acclaimed English author Simon Beckett's bestselling novels The Chemistry of Death and Written in Bone, both part of the David Hunter series.

Scenes were shot in Horsey, Old Buckenham and North Walsham in Norfolk last summer. 

The series stars Harry Treadaway (Penny Dreadful, Star Trek: Picard) as Dr. David Hunter, an exceptionally talented forensic anthropologist.
