An Indian Restaurant in Norwich has been named among the industry's best in the region at the British Curry Awards.

Spice Valley, in Magdalen Street, had been shortlisted in the Restaurant of the Year Award for the East Midlands region.

And although they didn't bag top spot, the owners were presented with a "prestigious" certificate for their services.

The 18th annual British Curry Awards was held on Monday, November 28, at Evolution London.

The awards recognise Britain's "most innovative and critically acclaimed" curry establishments.

Spice Valley serves traditional Indian cuisine with a "unique twist", with their executive chefs cooking up everything from lobster to crab.

Co-owners, Wali Ullah and Mintu Rahman, said: "We are pleased to be bringing home a British Curry Awards certificate.

"Spice Valley is now recognised among the best of the best in the industry.

"Spice Valley opened in 2018 so that's almost four years now and the reason why Spice Valley has had tremendous success for many years is because of the diversity of Indian cuisine it offers and the highly talented cooks who set it apart from other Indian restaurants in Norwich.

"The team at Spice Valley appreciates the tremendous support that you have all given us on this journey."

It comes after the Indian restaurant also won in the Best Customer Service category at the English Curry Awards back in 2021.
