It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in a Norwich park with the Tunnel of Lights almost ready to launch.

Festive trains are running along the Eaton Park Miniature Railway on December 4, 11, 18, 27 and January 2 from 11am until 4pm.

The trains, powered by steam, an internal combustion engine or battery, and the tunnel are decorated with colourful lights.

Rides last around 10 minutes and tickets cost £1.50 for over 16s and £1 for children, with no need to book in advance.

It was launched as an alternative to the annual Santa's grotto in 2021 due to Covid restrictions, but it proved so popular it is set to remain a permanent fixture.

Chris Eve, director and treasurer of the Norwich and District Society of Model Engineers which operates the trains, said: "Come along and have a ride and enjoy the fun - both children and adults loved it last year and we also give 20pc of fares to local charities."
