It is the largest county in East Anglia and has some of the most beautiful countryside the country has to offer.
But which are the nicest places in Norfolk to visit?
We asked our readers to give their verdict on their favourite spots.
Here's what they suggested...
1. Sea Palling
The quiet village of Sea Palling on the north Norfolk coast is widely regarded as having one of the best beaches in the country.
While popular, it is rare for the beach to become overcrowded, and there is always space to find if you walk further along.
It is a great place to watch the sun rise and it is close to Horsey, where one of the largest grey seal colonies in the UK can be found.
2. Lavender farms
In the summer months, a farm in Heacham becomes awash with the beautiful purple hue of lavender.
It is a sight to behold and many people flock to take pictures and enjoy the scents coming off the fields.
As well as lavender, fields covered in poppies can also be found in places like north Norfolk.
3. The Broads
The Broads make up part of the largest protected wetland in the country.
They are a haven for wildlife and home to many different species of native and migratory birds.
From river systems to expansive bodies of water, there are lots of places to explore either via boat, foot or cycle.
Choosing just one spot on the Broads to stake a claim as the 'nicest part' would be too challenging, as it is all spectacular.
4. Norwich
A number of people suggested the Fine City is one of the best places in Norfolk.
Norwich is steeped in history and has many architecturally significant buildings to marvel at, such as the cathedral and City Hall.
With the River Wensum weaving through it and green spaces like Mousehold Heath and Earlham Park, there are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy. But if shopping and dining out is your thing, you will not be disappointed.
5. Gorleston
Several readers proposed that Gorleston deserves a place on the list of the nicest parts of Norfolk.
And with its long sandy beach and Victorian seaside charm, it is hard to disagree.
Located near to Great Yarmouth, the town is a popular destination for holidaymakers.
6. The north Norfolk coastal path
Much like the Norfolk Broads, it is difficult to choose just one part of the north Norfolk coastline.
Walking along the coastal path allows you to take in the beauty of the area, with stunning views across marshland, plenty of wildlife to spot and vibrant towns like Cromer, Wells and Sheringham.
Many of its beaches are renowned as some of the best, not just in the UK, but globally.
7. The People
Norfolk locals are some of the nicest people you'll meet, according to our readers.
While there are lots of lovely places to visit, it is the people that make the county special, they said.
