Green city and county councillor Ben Price has confirmed he is running as a parliamentary candidate for Norwich North.

Cllr Price, who currently represents Thorpe Hamlet on Norwich City Council and is the leader of the Green group on Norfolk County Council, is standing in order to tackle the cost of living, insulate homes, and fight for people in Norwich at Westminster.

He said: "Putting Norwich at the heart of our transitioning economy goes hand in hand with our need for energy security and helping everyone in the city weather the cost of living crisis.

"My work as a councillor has focused on supporting people to positively influence the places where they live. I’ve worked with community groups to improve green spaces, reduce anti-social behaviour and make roads safer by introducing 20mph speed limits.

"I want to help people across the whole of Norwich make their lives and communities better."
