Police were still appealing for information today after a thief grabbed the handbag of an elderly woman in Norwich.
The victim was walking in Willis Street towards Charlton Road when a man on a black mountain bike approached her from behind. After grabbing her bag he pedalled off along Bull Close Road. A bicycle matching the description of his bike was found later near St James Close.
The crime happened on Sunday, February 21 between noon and 12.30pm
The bag was black with dark red handles and had a leather appearance. It contained a large sum of money as well as the woman's cards, said police.
The thief was white, in his mid-20s, slim and about 5ft tall. He had a fair-coloured beard and wore a black hooded coat and blue jeans.
