Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers continues to be perplexed by the gulf in his team's home and away form after they suffered their fourth successive Premier League defeat on the road.

The newly-promoted Swans have kept clean sheets in all four home matches, taking eight points in the process, but have conceded 12 on their travels, losing every game.

After the 3-1 defeat at Carrow Road, he said: 'I thought we were 2-0 down before we got going. I thought offensively we looked bright, looked clever and threatened. But it's one of the very few times I've had to say it – no matter how we play we've normally always been very solid defensively and today we weren't. It was just one of those games where the basics in our defending went missing and led to us conceding goals.

'But congratulations to Norwich. They got the goals, won the game and when you're a newly-promoted team in your first year, that's what you have to do.

'I always knew that coming here was going to be difficult, as will every other away game. Our home form is important for us this season but we need to pick up points.'

There's no doubt the group is, for me, good enough to do that but what we just need to have is that mentality and resistance in our game. Everyone talks about our style of football but normally defensively our organisation is very good and our aggression, but today we just didn't have it.'
