An inspiring teenager has raised money for charities that helped her during her battle with leukaemia.
Jade Bowler, from Holmes Close, Norwich, raised 408 from a raffle at her special birthday event on October 28 at The Cottage, in Thorpe St Andrew. The event was a belated 16th birthday party and also marked the fact it was a year to the day since Jade had a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Jade gave half the money to The Rays of Sunshine charity and half to Rebecca's Wishes.
'I wanted to raise the money to help them help other people. They helped me so I wanted to give something back,' Jade said, adding that she wanted to thank everybody who donated prizes and helped to raise the money.
