Norwich City star Wes Hoolahan’s goal against Wigan netted comedian Kevin Bridges a little extra pocket money at the weekend - because the diminutive midfielder has a similar surname to a character from the film Dodgeball.
The comic put money on the Canary scoring in Sunday’s televised match because his name reminded him of the character Patches O’Houlihan in the 2004 film.
Bridges had tweeted there was not much super about Sky’s ‘Super Sunday’ clash.
But, minutes later, he added: “Take that back, stuck a wee bit on Hoolahan first goal, purely based on his surname... Dodgeball! Yaldy!!”
