Each week we put a Norwich resident in the hot seat and ask them 10 questions about themselves. This week we spoke with Jo Reil, Deputy Directory of Theatre Arts Courses at Norwich Theatre Royal, who is currently directing Burying Your Brother in The Pavement at Stage Two from March 30 to April 1.

• Describe Norwich in three words…

Vibrant, creative, beautiful.

• If you were stranded on a deserted island with three people, who would you want them to be?

It would absolutely be my three amazing children, Molly, George and Billy. Couldn't live without them. Fantastic company. Could I have 4 though and complete the set and bring my husband too (please?!!).

• If you could be anyone else who would you be?

I'd be Education Secretary and transform our education system!

• How would you spend a perfect weekend in Norwich?

A late breakfast at the Green Grocers on Earlham Road followed by a hot air balloon flight across the city. Then in the evening I'd enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese at Les Garrigues on St Johns Maddermarket (an amazing deli my husband and I discovered only recently), followed by a Take That concert at the football ground!!!

Then on Sunday, I'd go out for a roast dinner before going on a family dog walk in one of our gorgeous parks or at the beach (if the sun was shining obviously), then catch a National Theatre Live Screening at Cinema City to finish off the weekend.

• Would you rather spend a night in front of the TV or a night out in the city?

Hate to say it but a night in front of the TV with a cup of tea and a biscuit, preferable chocolate!

• What's your mantra in life?

'It's not what happens to you in your life that defines you but how you deal with it.' Along with 'never forget how lucky you are.'

• Which song defines your life?

Tough one. Maybe I Am What I Am by Gloria Gaynor.

• What's your biggest fear?

Dying while my children are still young.

• Which one thing could you never be without?

My family and friends. Oh and lip balm!

• What would you do if you won the lottery?

Start with a holiday in the Bahamas to relax and spend some time thinking about what to do with the money, what to give away and to whom. Pay off the mortgage and travel the world, stopping off to volunteer in communities, with children and in the jungle with Gorillas.
