So transport bosses say that the traffic changes in Norwich city centre will 'make it easier to get to city car parks' – which of course are a nice little earner.

Never mind those of us who live in the city and rely on a car to get from A to B. The closure of All Saints' Green to traffic cuts off the shortest route to my supermarket of choice on Queens Road and my doctor's surgery on Chapelfield. And don't get me started on the proposed closure of Thorn Lane.

I used to be able to jump into my car and go where I wanted, but now I have to sit down and carefully plan my route.

It beggars belief that the traffic lights have been removed from the top of Rouen Road making this a very dangerous junction, especially for those wanting to turn right.

Traffic comes from the right and left, with some turning across your bow into Rouen Road – plus a cycle lane.

I have given up going into the city centre by car and combine a trip to the tip at Mile Cross with a visit to Lidl, Mile Cross Post Office,

Barclays Bank on Aylsham Road – where I can park outside – and the M&S food store on the ring road at Sweetbriar.

Sorted.
