A number of train services to and from Norwich have been cancelled today due to Abellio Greater Anglia experiencing a high level of sickness amongst their staff.

Services on the Norwich to Cambridge, Norwich to London Liverpool Street, Norwich to Sheringham and Norwich Lowestoft lines have all been affected with a total of seven cancellations in the region.

A spokesperson for Abellio Greater Anglia said: “We would like to apologise for the cancellation of some train services today which has been caused by a higher instance of short-term sickness amongst our train crew.

“We are doing all we can to minimise the effect to journeys and to provide alternative transport and additional stops on other services wherever possible. We’re sorry for any inconvenience that may be caused.”

Any customers with pre-booked tickets for the affected trains will be able to travel on an alternative service and passengers are advised to check their journey before travelling.
