Following a line-side fire between Ipswich and Needham Market, Greater Anglia said all lines were now open.

However, the company said all services will need to run at reduced speed through the affected area, with disruption expected 'until the end of the day'.

Greater Anglia said the line-side fire between Ipswich and Needham Market had blocked the line and train services between London Liverpool Street and Norwich could be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Greater Anglia and Network Rail apologised to affected travellers and said advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.

'If your journey with us has been delayed by 30 minutes or more, you may be entitled to compensation for a portion of your fare.
