Greater Anglia train passengers will need to check before travelling this Easter because of Bank Holiday timetable changes and engineering work.

Services on the Norwich to Sheringham line will also be replaced by buses on Sunday, April 9, and Easter Sunday while Norfolk County Council builds a bridge over the railway at Rackheath for the Norwich Northern Distributor road.

Some services to London Liverpool Street will be replaced with buses over the Easter weekend, mainly in south Essex, where Network Rail is replacing overhead lines and continuing with Crossrail work.

Full-size bikes cannot be taken on rail replacement buses but folding bikes are allowed at bus drivers’ discretion.

Customers are advised to check before they travel, using the Greater Anglia app, visiting the website, or following @greateranglia on Twitter.
