Disruption on Norwich to London train line this week

Trains between Norwich and London Liverpool Street will be disrupted this week as engineering work is carried out on the line between Manningtree and Colchester.

As a result of the major engineering work, one line will be closed between Manningtree and Colchester from 9.40pm on May 3 and May 4.

Abellio Greater Anglia has made timetable amendments due to the engineering work with bus replaces trains on some Norwich services. The amendments are:

•The 9pm and 10pm Norwich to London Liverpool Street service will terminate at Ipswich, with rail replacement operating Ipswich to Colchester and a train forward from Colchester to London Liverpool Street.

•The 9.30pm London Liverpool Street to Norwich service will terminate at Colchester with no onward connection beyond Ipswich. There will be a rail replacement service between Colchester and Ipswich.

•The 9pm and 10.30pm London Liverpool Street to Norwich service will terminate at Colchester with rail replacement buses from Colchester to Ipswich, and then a train forward from Ipswich to Stowmarket, Diss and Norwich.

•The 10pm London Liverpool Street to Ipswich will be extended through to Norwich calling additionally at Stowmarket and Diss.
