It happened on Dereham Road, near the Co-op petrol station at just after 12.05pm today.

An ambulance and a paramedic car were at the scene but have now left.

The crash site remains closed, with blue and white police tape surrounding the scene immediately around where the crash happened, but parts of the surrounding area have reopened.

The road closure has caused major problems at the Sainsbury’s car park at Longwater, where traffic is at a standstill, as well as for motorists trying to get in and out of the Queen’s Hill estate.

Recovery services are now on the scene and Norfolk police said they expected vehicles to be taken away by around 5.30pm.

Konect bus has warned of severe delays to its 510 and 511 Park & Ride services due to the crash and Taverham High School has told parents that children could be late home as “school transport may be delayed in collecting students”.

Norfolk police urged drivers to avoid the area.
