Plans for a new phone mast in an edge-of-city village have been recommended for approval despite mass opposition.
As previously reported, Everything Everywhere, which runs mobile providers Orange and T-Mobile, and the 3 network, has lodged plans for a 12ft high mast on the corner of Springfield Road and Fakenham Road in Taverham. The plans, which are set to go before Broadland District Council's planning committee tomorrow, have sparked controversy, with more than 20 members of the public writing to the council to oppose them.
Planning officers, however, have recommended that the committee approve the application.
