The winning brews of the 40th Norwich Beer Festival have been announced.

Some 18,000 people enjoyed the week-long event, organised by the at St Andrew's and Blackfriars Halls in October.

More than 72,000 000 pints were enjoyed at the event - organised by Norwich and Norfolk Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch - from cask ale, cider, perry, world beer, wine and mead.

The overall winner and beer of the week, voted by festival-goers, was Milk Worm by Three Blind Mice in Little Downham, near Ely.

Second place went to Hindringham-based Norfolk Brewhouse with their Gold IPA.

Lucaria, produced by Thornbridge Brewery based in Bakewell, Derbyshire, was in third place.
