It is a much loved family favourite which has burrowed its way onto the Norwich Theatre Royal stage.
Fantastic Mr Fox, a classic children's novel by Roald Dahl, tells how Mr Fox outwits his greedy farmer neighbours with cunning, derring-do, and more than a little help from his furry friends. Sometimes dark but always funny, largely due to Gruffudd Glyn (Mole/Bunce) and Sandy Foster (Rabbit) this Maria Aberg-directed production has something for both young and old.
Greg Barnett, who has appeared in BBC soap Doctors, as Mr Fox leads the cast which effortlessly bring these amazing animals to life.
But as well as animal magic there's musical magic too thanks to composer and lyricist Arthur Darvill, best known for appearances in TV hits Broadchurch and Dr Who. It is simply Dahl-ectable.
• Fantastic Mr Fox runs at Norwich Theatre Royal until June 24, for tickets call 01603 630000.
