A live gardening show event will be broadcasted from Norwich later this month.
The night, organised by community gardening group 'No Fear Gardening', founded by Ellen Mary Gardening, boasts Michael Perry (a.k.a Mr. Plant Geek) as one of the hosts. Michael is a celebrity gardener, and regularly appears on ITV This Morning.
Other hosts include Ellen Mary, TV producer and presenter, and Chris Bailey as compere. They will be joined by local horticultural businesses (including Grapes Hill Community Garden and PlantGrow) for an evening of gardening, live music and other entertainment. Drinks and a plant shop will also be available, with plants supplied by Notcutts and Norfolk Olive Tree Company.
Founder, Ellen, said: 'Nothing has been streamed live like this in horticulture before.'
She added: 'The ethos of No Fear Gardening is to encourage all ages and experiences to enjoy gardening together and to encourage new people into gardening.'
The student led City College Norwich production company, Cactus Media, will be covering the event. It will be their first major project. You will also be able to live stream the event using a link on the No Fear Gardening Facebook page.
No Fear Gardening October Night will take place October 19 from 7pm-10pm at Epic Studios in Norwich. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
