Trains travelling between Norwich and London Liverpool Street have been delayed after a lorry struck a railway bridge in Needham, Suffolk.
British Transport Police (BTP) was alerted to the crash in Coddenham Road, Needham Market, just after 10.45am today.
Network Rail sent structural engineers from the company at the scene at 11.40am to carry out repair work.
As a result, trains between Norwich and London Liverpool Street, and services between Ipswich, Cambridge and Peterborough, are disrupted, with delays of up to 20 minutes and some services being cancelled.
Greater Anglia said on Twitter services are starting to return to normal.
A BTP spokesman said he did not know if anyone had been injured.
Suffolk Constabulary and the East of England Ambulance Service have checked their logs and can find no record of their attendance.
