British Touring Car racer Jeff Smith displaced Rob Smith from the lead of the opening Mini Challenge race at Snetterton after the latter suffered a puncture while Brett Smith, Jeff's son, charged up from starting 11th to almost unseat Reece Barr from second place.

It was a Smith one-two in race two, with Jeff dominating while Brett held back the opposition with a fine display of defensive driving.

Brett kept the wins in the family with a dominant third-race victory, with Mark Wakefield second ahead of a large train of cars with Rob Smith at its head.

Jamie Bond was gutted to have lost victory in the opening VAG Trophy for corner cutting, promoting second-placed Bobby Thompson, who had lost the lead to his team-mate on the opening lap, while Philip House was also promoted into second place.

Tom Witts controlled race two from the off while Thompson had to work hard for second which he gained on the final lap from Kieran Gordon with the bonnet-less Jack Walker-Tulley fourth while Attleborough's Nick Moore finished 15th and 19th.

The opening Ginetta RDC Plus race saw Michael Crees having to repass Phil Ingram to secure victory while Jack Oliphant and Rob Keogh swapped third place between them before the former secured the position.

Crees easily won the restarted sequel from Ingram while a mid-race spin at Hamilton's dropped Keogh out of third place, elevating Shawn Fleming to the podium while Crees completed a hat-trick after fighting his way up from starting eighth on the reversed grid event.

Tom Golding led every lap of the opening Ginetta RDC event but his advantage over Tom Sibley was wiped out by a mid-race caution period resulting in a nervous finish for Golding. Race two was a repeat of the opening event with Golding's early advantage wiped out after the deployment of the safety car but he had enough in hand to win for a second time.

Simon Walton dominated the opening VAG Trophy race while his brother Owen needed to mount a charge from fifth e to secure the runner-up position. In the reversed grid second race Paul Taylor's charge from a mid-race fifth place just failed to dislodge race winner Ben Wallace.
