Our Norwich City correspondent David Freezer has posted his marks following the Canaries' 3-2 home win over Reading.

• Angus Gunn

Unfortunate to concede the first goal after two good saves from Liam Kelly and Sone Aluko, no chance with the second but a vital stop from Yann Kermorgant at his near post in the 82nd minute as nerves were jangling. 7

• Ivo Pinto (C)

Switched off for the first goal thinking Gunn had cleared the danger and generally still getting up to speed after injury but provided decent support for Onel Hernandez. 6

• Grant Hanley

Finally found the first City goal he has been close to on several occasions, with a dominant header to make it 2-0, having flicked on James Maddison's corner to allow Mario Vrancic to open the scoring. Gave away the free-kick which led to Reading's opener but otherwise solid defensively. 7

• Timm Klose

Shook off an early injury worry after a stupid Sam Smith tackle in the opening 15 seconds left him in pain. Steady on the whole but looks more comfortable in a back three. 6.5

• Jamal Lewis

Allowed Smith to get goal-side of him for Reading's second as City's defence was caught out by Kelly's cross but a solid return to the starting line-up overall, holding his position and supporting Josh Murphy. 6

• Harrison Reed

Usual tenacity and thirst for work in the midfield scraps but once again couldn't offer the physical presence of Alex Tettey, particularly for aerial battles. Fired one long-range shot well over the bar. 6

• Mario Vrancic

First league goal teed up a positive afternoon for the midfielder, nodding in unmarked at the back post for his first Carrow Road goal. A creative linchpin, displaying his fine range of passing, particularly to set Murphy away. Faded a touch as nerves set in but a big step forward overall. 7.5

• Onel Hernandez

Dropped too deep and then didn't get out quickly enough to stop Kelly crossing for the second goal but again looked lively and determined going forward. Deflected shot hit the post, becoming more of a threat every game. 6.5

• James Maddison

Both opening goals came from the England U21 international's corners, before winning and scoring the penalty. Now has 14 goals and 10 assists from 41 games, a superb return. Concentrated on feeding the wide boys more as City concentrated on width. 7.5

• Josh Murphy

Involved ahead of all three goals and a lively presence throughout his 100th appearance for the Canaries. Looks much happier out wide and hesitancy which has dogged his season was less evident. Approaching his best form again but snatched at some chances as he chased the goal he deserved. 7

• Dennis Srbeny

The best performance yet from the big German. Daniel Farke deploying Hernandez and Murphy wide helped ensure there was more happening at the top end of the pitch and his January signing was involved heavily, with some nice touches and hard work. Missed a golden chance to deservedly make it 4-2 though and it's goals that he will be judged on. 6.5
