A Norfolk Elizabethan house in 36 acres to go on sale for £2 million

A Norfolk Tudor mansion with a wedding barn and holiday cottage business is going up for sale with a price tag of £2 million.

Hautbois Hall, near Coltishall, owned by Lester and Katie Bayfield, will go on the market with Savills in mid September, it was confirmed today.

Already the hall, which was purchased by the current owners in 2013, has attracted celebrity interest with Games of Thrones actor Kit Harington viewing the property, although he is believed to have bought in Suffolk.

The forthcoming sale comes after the sale of Hales Hall, near Loddon, also with a wedding business, with the new owners recently opening up the main house for holidaymakers.

Hautbois Hall, built in 1555, offers original Tudor features and is situated down a long drive of quince trees. The owners have stressed the sale will not affect any future weddings booked.

Louis de Soissons, handling the sale, who sold Hautbois Hall to the current owners and the owners before that, said: 'Hautbois Hall is a beautiful, manageable Elizabethan country house situated in 36 acres leading down to the river Bure and will be coming to market in mid September.'
