Norfolk Land and Norfolk Homes yesterday received permission from Broadland District Council to build on land off Drayton High Road.

The new development covers a 7.4 acre field and will be accessed via Drayton high Road, with cycle and footpath access from Fairview Close and Lodge Breck.

Broadland's planning committee voted in favour of approval, one against and one abstention.

Councillors also gave the green light to an application for 20 homes on the former hospital site in Little Plumstead.

Cripps Developments received permission to build on land off Hospital West, off Hospital Road.

It forms part of a larger development on the site. As well as the new homes the applicant is to provide a 'better located' car park for thev village primary school. Members voted unanimously in favour.
