Yellows at Carrow Road will no longer be open to the general public on non-matchdays, Norwich City has confirmed.

The decision was made to partially close the popular restaurant after a decrease in revenues but it will still be open as usual on matchdays and will be available for private hire.

Stuart Cox, Director of Catering at Norwich City, said part of the reason for the closure was changes to the road layout near the stadium.

'The decision to close the restaurant on non-matchdays comes after a decrease in revenues, with a significant contributing factor being the introduction by Norwich City Council of the bus gate restricting vehicle access to the Club both to and from Koblenz Avenue,' he said.

Mr Cox added the six Yellows staff affected by the changes were offered alternative roles at the club.

The venue was launched in 2008 as part of Delia's Canary Catering and serves American cuisine.
