The 10km road race kicked off at 9.30am from Gentleman's Walk, with Norwich City football legend Grant Holt sounding the starter horn.

The route took competitors in a circuit around the city, passing landmarks such as the castle, cathedral and Carrow Road stadium, before finishing in front of City Hall.

The first person to cross the finish line was Michael Kallenberg, an air traffic controller with the RAF, who completed the course in 31 minutes and 12 seconds, setting a new race record.

Emma Risbey won the female race with a time of 37 minutes and 22 seconds.
