Police have renewed an appeal to friends and family of an elderly woman found dead at her home in Gorleston to come forward.

The body of 73-year-old Betty Orris was found at her home in High Road, opposite Ferryside, at around 12.30pm on February 16.

Police had been called to the address following concerns for her welfare.

A post mortem has confirmed that she died of natural causes.

But officers continue to appeal for help in tracing her relatives.

It is not known if Ms Orris, who lived alone, had family living locally.

Near neighbours had expressed their shock at her death.

One man, who did not want to named, said she was 'cheery' and always said hello. He said she was known for her colourful clothing and was known for attending jumble sales and local car boots.

Anyone who has details of family and friends is asked to call Norfolk Coroner's Office on 01603 663302.
