Bryony Seabrook, 31, was nominated for the Closer Star Fundraiser Award at the Tommy's Awards.

The award recognises an extraordinary individual who has gone above and beyond to fundraise in their community on behalf of Tommy's.

Now in its 23rd year, Tommy's Awards recognise heroes and families who have been touched by pregnancy complications or the loss of a baby.

Each year in the UK, one in four parents lose a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. Every year, 60,000 babies are born prematurely.

Mrs Seabrook was nominated by Tommy's for her efforts to raise money and to raise awareness around prematurity, miscarriage and stillbirth. This commitment stems from her own experience in losing her son.

She said: 'On May 10 2012 our beautiful first born child was stillborn. His name is Dylan Benjamin Seabrook. We were plummeted into a scary unfamiliar world, a dark world. On Christmas Eve that same year, we lost another baby, this time a miscarriage at 12 weeks. Finally on October 22 2015, our rainbow baby arrived. Dylan's little brother - Jenson Henry Seabrook - five weeks early due to pre-eclampsia and weight 5lbs, but he was breathing.'

Since losing her son, Dylan, Mrs Seabrook has been proactive in working alongside Tommy's. She started fundraising in 2014 and has since gone on to speak out about the taboo surrounding baby loss.

She added: 'I have participated in various running events, including the London Marathon in 2017, and have held community events for Tommy's in the memory of Dylan. I am determined to fundraise in Dylan's memory; to help save babies lives and to save even one family going through this heartbreak.'

The Tommy's Awards celebrates courage, strength and determination. The awards also celebrate the strength of family members, friends and health professionals through other awards.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on March 16 at the Landmark Hotel in London.
