Yellow and green is the theme for a weekend charity event that is hoping to raise as much as possible for two East Anglian causes.

Shawn Taylor Racing (STR) is holding its Canary Run and Cycle, and Show and Shine car event at the former RAF Coltishall Airfield at the end of September.

It will be the first time STR has held the event, which will raise money for East Anglian Children's Hospices (Each) and the Big C over two days.

Mr Taylor said he hoped the event would one day become as big a hit as the company's passenger ride day, which raised more than £20,000 at Snetterton last November.

'We were delighted to be asked to hold this event by Each and the Big C. We'll have cycling in the morning and running in the afternoon on the first day, and then a show and shine car, bike and truck event on the Sunday. There should be something for everyone,' he said.

The event will have a Canaries theme, with Mr Taylor saying he wanted to 'support the area and Norwich' by having people wear yellow and green.

The passenger ride day, held at Snetterton Race Track, will be held this year on November 23.
