A Norwich actress and performer has released a comedy song in aid of Parkinson's UK.
Joanna Swan, 41, who recently appeared in BBC1's Doctors, has utilised her zany stage character, Phyllis, to record a song she hopes will both amuse and make a difference.
Composer and musician Tim Lane was enlisted to help create the song Phyllis Phunk, which was recorded at Sea Plane Studio in Norwich.
Mrs Swan said: 'One of the things that makes Phyllis fun as a character is that she is an elderly white lady who defies age and gender stereotypes. She is a great fan of funk music who claims to have been a slap bass guitarist in the 1960s.
'It was inevitable that one day I would have her make a funk single of her own. The lyrics sum up her positive philosophy of life.'
The song can be purchased at phyllisednadorothysellars.bandcamp.com/releases with a minimum donation of £1.
