The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) strike ended at 9am this morning and passed relatively quietly for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.
FBU general secretary Matt Wrack accused the government of refusing to negotiate over the controversial pension reforms, adding that firefighters were determined to continue with their campaign.
During the 24-hour period of strike action, firefighters in Norfolk were called to attend 17 incidents.
David Ashworth, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service Area Manager, said: 'We are satisfied that our contingency plans for responding to calls from the public during this strike period were effective.
'I am pleased that the safety messages were heeded which helped make this strike period pass relatively quietly. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service availability is now back to business as usual.
'I'd ask people to continue to help our emergency services and make their own safety, and those of the people around them, a priority.'
