A would-be thief attempted to snatch a bag from a car in a Norwich city centre cul-de-sac.
The attempted robbery happened on Heigham Grove, off Earlham Road, at approximately 6pm on Saturday, September 2.
A man aged in his 50s was driving into the cul-de-sac when he stopped to let two men and a dog cross the road.
One of the men who he let walk past opened the victim's car door and went to grab a bag which was on the passenger seat.
The victim grabbed his bag and the suspect left empty handed.
The offender is described as white, approximately 6ft tall and aged in his early 20s.
At the time, the dog was off its lead and looked similar to a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
