Norwich Crown Court has heard that Jake Killick, 23, 'marauded' around the city centre carrying out sex attacks and robberies in March last year.

Killick, of Whitemoor Prison, is on trial accused of six rapes, three robberies, sexual assault and false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence on March 30.

Today the jury of seven men and five women were read extracts of police interviews with Killick conducted on March 30 and 31, following his arrest.

Killick largely said 'no comment' although did make some statements.

He denied having been responsible for any of the offences on March 30.

He said: 'No I've not done that. I've not done any of those things. I've not done anything of those things at all.'

He told officers he had been 'stitched up'.

He said: 'It's your lot trying to stitch me up. You're stitching me up.' He added: 'You know what I mean, Old Bill stitching me up.'

During interview Killick also told officers he had very bad anxiety and depression.

He said he was on medication which helped him relax, although had not taken it in four days.

He said he was affected in a 'bad way' if he did not take his medication and described how his head 'goes blank' and he has 'black outs'.

Killick said he had not been to his doctor to get any medication for days and had suffered a fit outside a Tesco store in that time.

He said he had not sought medical help but 'did it myself' and 'stood myself still'.

Killick was asked whether, aside from his prescribed medication, he had taken any other drink or drugs but he said 'no comment'.

He also told officers he had 'slept rough every day since I was born'.

Officers told him this was not right but he said he had slept rough every day since he was released from prison on March 16 2017.

Killick has also denied two other charges – rape and breaching a restraining order – both on January 5 last year.

When interviewed about these matters he again mostly answered 'no comment' although he did deny doing it.

He said: 'No, I didn't do it. I've said no comment because I've not done it.'

The trial continues.
