Two people are still in hospital with serious injuries after allegedly being run over by a Norse vehicle in Earlham Park on Sunday (June 18).
The incident is thought to have happened on between 5pm and 6pm, when a 4x4 truck ran over a 21-year-old man and his girlfriend as they sunbathed in the park.
The man sustained trauma injuries to the liver, stomach and a kidney, whilst the woman suffered a broken vertebrae, collarbone and a fracture to the sternum. They were taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment, where they remain.
The driver of the vehicle, who is said to have been emptying bins in the park, has been spoken to by police and enquiries are ongoing. Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is assisting with the investigation.
