After being introduced to the world of motor sales by his father, a young entrepreneur has started up his own dealership.

Adam Payne's company Start It Up Motorcycle and Performance began trading on May 2 and turned over £14,000 in its first month, with five sales last week alone.

The 30-year-old was inspired by his father, Andy Tooes, who ran Norfolk Car and Superbikes on Hurricane Way in Norwich.

Following his father's retirement Mr Payne worked with carmaker Honda for two years before deciding to reinvigorate the family firm.

But he says his Hellesdon-based company, which sells used motorcycles and Japanese cars, was started from the ground up.

The Start It Up Facebook pages claims it is a 'reinvented and recharged' version of Mr Tooes' well-respected company.

Mr Payne said: 'It is a continuation of my father's work, but it is a fresh business.'
