Students from a Norfolk vocational college enjoyed a look behind the scenes at carmaker Lotus after excelling in two engineering challenges.
Six pupils from University Technical College Norfolk were invited to visit the factory in Hethel after coming top in a design challenge set by the company.
They were among more than 70 students who put forward their ideas for an adjustable rear wing spoiler, as part of a core project challenge at the science and engineering school.
The designs were assessed by Lotus' judging panel and George Haythorpe and Travis Gosling, whose design was based on electromagnetic forces and inspired by technology used on high speed trains, were named overall winners.
They were joined on the factory tour by fellow students Oliver Grantham, Rob Jones, Nathan King and Matthew Precious who excelled in a recent Formula 1 in Schools challenge.
