From pop stars to models, plenty of famous faces have enjoyed a night out in Norwich through the years.

Whether for paid personal appearances or just to have fun, celebrities have often been spotted in local nightclubs.

1. Girls Aloud

Girls Aloud treated partygoers to a performance in Time in Riverside in 2004.

Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh were dressed in coordinating black and red outfits as they took to the stage.

The band, who were formed on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, performed hits from their debut album including Sound of the Underground and No Good Advice. 

They also performed at Holkham Hall and Pop Beach in Great Yarmouth through the years.

2. Boy George

Just a few years prior, in 2000, Boy George graced the same stage at Time.

The Culture Club star performed at DJ set at the nightclub that later became known as Lava & Ignite, Project and Wonderland before eventually becoming the Gravity trampoline park.

3. JLS

The X Factor runners-up JLS attracted huge crowds for their set at Mercy in January 2009.

Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill had just missed out on the 2008 X Factor crown when they took to the Prince of Wales Road stage. 

Thousands of fans armed with their digital cameras flocked to the club to see the band who would later release hits such as Beat Again and Everybody in Love.

4. Katie Price

Katie Price, who was known as Jordan at the time, attended the opening of Mercy in 2003.

The model, who was dressed in a baby pink top and white mini skirt, posed for cameras with friends as she entered the club.

5. The Vivienne

RuPaul Drag Race UK winner, The Vivienne, was another star invited to celebrate the launch of Fetch.
