Traffic has come to a standstill around Carrow Road in Norwich as thousands of people arrived at the stadium for the Take That concert.

A festive atmosphere prevailed around the ground as people queued patiently waiting for gates to open.

A loud cheer erupted when it was announced just after 6pm that the stadium had opened. Many said they had started queing from early today.

Armed police and stadium security officals placed at strategic points kept an eye on proceedings.

Diane London and Samantha Vearer, of Bungay, said they were excited to see the band perform live.

'This is our first time we're watching them and we expect a really good show,' they said.

Amanda Cochrane, from Middlesex, and Lisaid Leask, from Norwich, said they had not been put off by the recent Manchester attack when deciding to come. 'We've been looking forward to the show for sometime now,' they said.
