World’s number one brass band set to perform in Norwich

The world’s number one brass band is set to perform in Norwich this weekend.

The Cory Band, from south Wales, will perform at the East Anglian Brass Band Association’s 80th Gala Concert at St Andrew’s Hall on Sunday at 5.30pm.

Christine Wade, secretary of East Anglian Brass Band Association, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the Cory Band will be performing our annual concert. The band is a fantastically talented band, currently ranked number 1 in the world. We are all looking forward to an enjoyable evening.”

The concert will follow the association’s solo and quartet competition which starts at 10.15am on Saturday and will see local brass players will perform slow melodies, air varies and quartets.

Tickets for the evening concert cost £15 and £17. To book, call 01449 672600 or 07790241299. Tickets will also be available on the door subject to availability.
